Root and Length stay global – one file, one pitch reference. The four body controls are the default each layer follows until it takes Own body, and every layer can be tuned away from the root.
Stereo makes the file two-channel and turns on per-layer Pan (unity at centre, the same law Underscore uses for track pan) and Spread. Mono stays the default – a one-shot you pan on the track does not want to be twice the size.
Headroom is how far up you intend to pitch this sample. Every partial that would cross Nyquist at that transposition is removed before render, so the result cannot alias – at any pitch up to the limit. A layer tuned up has a proportionally smaller budget.
Loopable exports a seamless loop: a whole number of cycles and no envelope, fade or damping, so the last sample flows straight into the first. Audition loops it so you can listen for the seam.
Live holds the wave at onset so every control – including every LFO – is audible
while you drag it. No envelope and no damping, loudest 128 partials.
Audition plays the real render.
Every readout is typable – click it, type a value, enter. ↑↓ nudge,
shift nudges coarse, esc reverts.
Vector layer: drag anchors and their handles like a pen tool.
dbl-click curve – add anchor · dbl-click anchor – remove
alt-drag a handle – break the mirror
shift-drag an anchor – lock to its x
